This is my Work in Progress ‘Dancing Chuparosa over Orange Echinacea’ watercolor

September 2, 2015

Really trying to make the deadline for the 30 in 30 painting challenge put on by Leslie Saeta.  I did this challenge back in January of 2015 and loved it.  I created 18 finished paintings and 4 works in progress.

So here it is September 2, 2015 and I’m sharing not a finished piece but one I have started in August and am still working on.

The previous post shared my start of this painting and this is where I took off the misket to reveal the little hummer that is about to get all of her shadings to bring her to life.

April springtime in northern New Mexico photographs

April 12, 2014

Starting my day driving  up to the ski valley, I caught this Red-breasted Robin high in the red willows behind a snow covered green willow tree.  What a delight

was taking a co-worker home I headed up into El Salto in a typical springtime day of snow showers interspersed with sunshine:

all the sap is rising around here and it’s turning everything rich red and saturated greens pushing through the gold colors left over from autumn and winter:

The whole hillside is bleating with sheep calls (which unfortunately I was too far away from) and the birdcall was as plentiful as the snow flurries:

the sun shining and glistening off of all the rich colors every where I looked:

not winter I know but hey I love painting trees.

And birds, I love me some birds.  This little guy was inspired by a Field Sparrow that came to our feeders one day.  And only one day, I haven’t seen it since.  Must have been migrating through.

If you ever want to buy any of my art I will pay shipping to your place.  Each picture ought to take you to the link to buy it and then I will reimburse your shipping costs, easy-peasy.

Have a beautiful and lovely day,

CheyAnne

I love, lOVE, Love Photography

November 13, 2013

I’m cleaning out my Mac laptop and am coming across some amazing photos I’ve taken in the past and never showed in public.  Some really blow me away still…..

LifeCanBeAnyThingYouWantItToBe by CheyAnne Sexton

I love adding quotes and sayings,

sometimes……..just simple words,

and poems too, when I really get them………….

Little baby calves always call to me and this one was a few springs ago.  But sometimes we need spring all year long, don’t cha think?

I call photographs like this one: A Drive-By Photo.

I have so much fun just holding my little Carl Zeiss lens Sony out the window as I’m driving.  Like little instant, fun, unexpected, movies in still-motion Photographs.

love them when I find a gem amongst the fence posts, ugly bushes and road signs (yuck)……..

I took these next two out our back yard facing East, the first one was last Autumn and the second was this Fall:

well I better get back to cleaning out more photos.

As always if you see anything you would like a print of or a watercolor commissioned painting just contact me at new mexico mtn girl at hotmail  and I’ll get it listed for you.  I can also invoice you through your email.

Maybe you see something you would like but don’t know how to tell your family; you just leave it to me, my friend, and I will give a nice shout out with a few sweet hints and links involved and who knows what your loved-ones might leave you.

peace n abundance,
