I love stats and if you do too, here are mine for ‘2014 in review’

trios are nice

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 3,400 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 57 trips to carry that many people.

Click here to see the complete report.

commenting on my experience with Blogger.com

January 21, 2011

I have been really thinking of starting another blog and using Blogger.com because they have tons of artists and its easy to follow their blogs.  But I just can not commit and the reason is their comment process.  So many times and I really wish all my fellow bloggers that use blogger, know how many comments you miss because Blogger makes it so hard to process a simple comment without jumping thru a million hoops. All to leave words of encouragement, or kudos, or just a hello, nice to find your site. But not with Blogger.com   I was just now making a comment and when I got to the post comment part I used wordpress and accedently hit the return key before everything was typed in and my whole comment vanished before I even realised what had happened..  I know I should have been paying more attention, but come on, this happens more times than not.  yuck

Here is the subject that another Blogger was posting about and how fun her post was.  A beautiful wooden chair that had been in the family forever, she had inherited it and painted it shiny black with pink and orange stripe cushions.  How fun,….. so I thought I would post a scan of a sketch I did of my favorite chair years ago.

My Green Chair

Now I need to go back and find that post.  Wish me luck

RedBubble is where you can find this sketch in post cards, prints, canvas’ and even posters.

How about this one?  I darkened it in photoshop

dragonfly on purple, originally uploaded by newmexicomtngirl.

A little picture I added to my flickr site so I could post it to a contest over on The Pioneer Woman’s blog where she is having a contest/assignment about bugs. Her site is so wonderful and funny and full of great info about life on a farm, as she puts it “one calf nut at a time”. she has a wonderful photography section where she shows you tricks using Photoshop Elements even, as well as the larger version of Photoshop. That’s where l learned about the filter>render>lighting effects I used here.

I also uploaded this image to my Red Bubble account if you would like to purchase one
