learning about creating a template to copy a post on WordPress

What a pain this seemed like and no doubt after having a few small glasses of wine I’m a little slower in the technical area, but I did it.

I’m doing Leslie Saeta’s 30paintings in 30 days challenge and I want to blog about it through-out the whole month.  I’m learning that this is just about as important as the actual painting (unfortunately).

So after getting my 1st watercolour painted, photographed, uploaded to my computer, edited for web-use, watermark my web piece of art, I am now ready to start posting.  I do my blogging on WordPress. It’s my first and only choice that has been pretty easy to use over-all in my learning by the seat of my pants kind of learning.  In otherwords I’ve taught myself how to have a blog.

As I think most of us have, anyway…….

I figured if I could copy a template of the blog-post it would make it easier to do the creating part of this challenge, (cause all I really want to do is paint, I just want to create and live my life creating).  So when it comes time to blog, it takes effort and energy to get this part together too.  I enjoy the writing and sharing of blogging, but getting to this point can be a lot of thinking.

So to copy a post you want to use to recreate as a form post, a template, you need to make sure that the little button towards the top-right part of your screen

Go Premium,

click Screen Options

make sure Writing Helper is checked.

Then when you go and look at, on the left side of screen, All Posts

you will see a little copy button, voila!!!!! yippee skippee I figured it out (after quite a bit of lightly snappy)

sorry honey, I love your support, you are such the man and……… I love you much……
