    I have seven babies trailing around after their mama near a boat I’m working on now. They are darling – she started with ten, so she’s done pretty well at protecting them. They’re big enough now that they can duck away from seagulls and paddle fast enough to evade the fish that see them as floating hors d’oeuvres!

    Happy 4th of July!

    Those babies are pretty sweet. Waterfowl all across N. America are suffering from habitat loss. We need to augment the habitat to keep them coming back!
