Robin Red Breast, taking a bath in the Garden Pond

This was the first year in about three that the Robins left our area of northern New Mexico for the winter again, like they use to do.  So seeing them and hearing their melodious songs in the morning is so incredible and welcome.

I just added fresh water to the pond liners and it didn’t take long for one to make out like a bandit

checking things out

looked right at me thru the window

Aren’t her colors amazing?

I even took a little movie of her but don’t know how to post it here on WordPress so here is the link instead of the Robin Bath , never mind it did it

Oh, I love the robins, and you little clip is wonderful. The photos are superb, too – I love the reflection in the water. It always makes me happy to see the birds happy – sometimes I’ll get a sparrow or dove having a bath in the water bowl I put out – such fun to watch!
