When first I saw her this morning – poem

When first I saw her this morning

I was captured in her glance

As I gazed upon her world

I began to see with mine own eyes

All there was to see

in the flat river valley below

El Salto in north-eastern New Mexico

and I am for-ever grateful.  Thank you

    Hi CheyAnne,

Wow… never been to NM… didn’t know it was this beautiful. And I love, LOVE your header. Looks wonderful. I see you’ve been artistically busy… good for you!

The photo with the – what? eagle? hawk? – is superb. I love the juxtaposition of the earthbound horse and the airborne bird. You have so many wonderful images to share!

Hey Chey Anne – GR8 photos … GR8 subjects! Thanks alot, 4 making me so homesick! LOL! I used 2 live in both Santa Fe & Albuquerque – I did visit Taos quite a few times – I have climbed most of the area around Santa Fe, with my camera clicking away – There aren’t any mountains here though, & I miss home everyday! I have alot of photos that I took of the whole area, and of course, many of one of my favourite places besides the mountains, Shidoni Foundry & Gallery – Thank you 4 showing me the beauty of my home state through UR eyes –
    Keep clicking away!

I’m so glad you found my blog. I do love New Mexico so. the idea that I live in “The Land of Enchantment” is so perfect, because it’s true. The light here, the land, the people are so wonderful….
not sure where you are yet, I will go see, but homesickness can be cured by coming home. lol
    peace n abundance,
