It’s a springtime challenge

A challenge was set from Asmalltowndad to have people paint a painting from a photo of a field of orange poppies he uploaded to his site.

and here’s my version.  I had so much fun with all these bright colors waiting for spring to arrive (as we here in northern New Mexico are getting another heavy winter storm as we speak)

I have the original for sale @ my etsy store

and you can buy photographic prints, cards, canvas @ my RedBubble

Thanks for visiting and I hope you leave a comment and let me know what you think.  I never mind construction critiques

CheyAnne you had me worried, I was waiting for you to post and almost gave up. But these are well worth the wait, absolutely beautiful and I love the compisition that you have put together. I have a few thing on etsy but I get very few hits, I’m not sure how to keep my art on the main pages of interest, but I’ve got a good feelinbg on your painting, it sure to be a quick sell. Thank you so much for your time and effort towards this challenge!

Ryan, thats funny about me posting because I was up super early that morning waiting for yours to go up, and by the time I was able to get back on the internet it was already evening. But what a turnout you have created. I feel all kinds of new internet friends out there from this challenge of yours. What a great idea and then to see all the different interpretations is just incredible. Love them all.
The key to etsy is to repost the same image more often. In other words don’t wait for the 4 months to be up because it only costs ¢20 each time and all the work of listing is already done. And also if you use twitter ( I just started) that’s free and really brings the hits like instantly. No sales yet from that, but the views are good. Got one treasury listing and lots of views tho. Let me know if you need more info. I’ve rambled enough for now.
    peace n abundance, CheyAnne
