went out in the early morning with flowers on my mind after reading this poem
by Samuel Taylor Coleridge:
“What if you slept?
And what if, In your sleep
You dreamed?
And what if,
In your dream, You went to Heaven
And there plucked A strange and Beautiful flower?
And what if, When you awoke,
You had the flower In your hand?
Ah, what then?”

orange poppy bright
and another view of the same blossom
and then here one of my favorite flowers of all time is the iris, I can smell them even now thru the power of rememberance

sweet purple softness
enjoy your springtime, it is so fleeting
I will post these over at my RedBubble store in case you would like a card, print or even poster and they just recently started selling photos in post card forms. RedBubble quality is extremely high

Etsy.com is a wonderful site. Full of almost anything you could want handmade, and lovingly created by wonderful people. Artisans from every walk of life and the world actually.
I’ve always wondered how people got such hugh hits on one item and then I fugured it out. Just keep relisting. You don’t have to wait until the listing period is over. Just go to your relist items down the left side of your listing page. I like to go edit first and check on new tags I might want to add or maybe lower my price abit, (since we’re all in the same boat and inexpensive means affordable for others). so when you relist often, you are spending another .20¢ per relist (so it CAN add up). But it puts you back out on the front page and anywhere people are watching you. so good luck with your relists and I hope you sell soon.
Here’s my lastest upload for sale over @ my etsy site:

just a doodle of calif. poppies
this painting came about cause I had never seen California Poppies before. I grew up in Missouri and moved out west when I was 19 (I’ve never looked back). I got married young started having children and then we bought a home west of Durango, Colorado in a tall deep valley called Lightner Creek. I was so excited to see this yard and what might be planted here, but I had to wait. The day we moved in was Thanksgiving of 1983 and the snow was so deep that year we didn’t see the ground again till spring. When it was warm enough, I was out the door and diggin’ in the Earth. Well out front of this house were all these little weeds and I started pulling and pulling and pulling some more, but there was no end in sight. I had just had my baby daughter in Feb and I had a nineteen month old needing my attentions at that time so I never got around to pulling all those little pesky weeds out of that front bed. And boy am I glad I didn’t, they were the most glorious little bright orange flowers I had ever seen. I was so mesmerized by their transparant qualities that I just had to try and capture them on paper. and this is what I came up with….. this was the real start of my learning watercolour.
