It all started years ago, not so sure how many now.  I started following “Chronicles of a Country Girl”   blog.  I’m pretty sure I was drawn by this very photograph she took of a female cardinal….

I have loved this image for as long as I can remember.  I grew up in Missouri and AdORe Cardinals, especially females.

So we traded…..lOVE, Love  &   v e r y    happy for this, so I asked???? May I pretty please and she said

“YES!!!”

I’ve been trying ot copy a blog I did about this painting back in 2009.  I love this piece.  I Adore this little painting I created one year for Christmas gifts to family and very close friends.  It was fun and inspiring to paint each scene the same, yet different.  I love painting again. my new Yellow Rose blossom

I love, love, love yellow roses.  When my husband (at the time) and I brought our first son home from the hospital, my yellow rose was blooming and I fell in love with this color.  I really adore the yellow that is tinged with pink on the edges, but it seems a little harder to find.  This is a Knockout from Wal-Mart.  Seems to be doing pretty well with a little rose food and moisture.  So out came my watercolours, just to sketch, not necessarily produce a finished painting.

Tulips by Candle Light

When I sold “A Touch of Summer” I fulfilled a longtime dream of having some giclees made of my original art.  It really captured even more depth in my watercolor.  In looking closer with my Photoshop program I decided to create a unique calendar.  One of close ups of my watercolors made up of views from my new giclees’  So keep an eye out for a new calendar to come.
