July 29, 2010

The first treasury I’ve put together over there.  How fun collecting some of my favorites to share with others

Beautiful Wonders of Etsy

this image isn’t perfect and it’s not clickable, but hopefully you get the idea of  some of the awesome art over there.  Hopefully you will check it out, please spread the link and comment if you please.  The more clicks and view it gets, the more likely it would get noticed for the front page of Etsy.

And if you feel like buying I know the artist would greatly appreciate it

did I tell you?

April 5, 2010

One day last week, while with a friend, I was reminded of a blessing I was taught by a another wonderful friend named Ken:

“Riches

of all sorts

flow easily into my

life

from expected and unexpected

sources….”

Within months of believing and saying this over and again, to myself, I met my mate, Len, 4 years ago this month.  When times are different  I think of this blessing and say it outloud.    I also write it down for friends.

So …. talking with my friend last week I wrote one out for her and I started using it again.  And I have sold my watercolours.  First there was one:

Linda’s Rose #3

A friend named Jane saw my link to FaceBook and didn’t know I painted, loved them, asked when we could meet up, and bought 2 more:

Little Bunch of California Poppies

and also she just had to have a pony painting (horses):

Ponies in the Meadow

She’s in the Animal Business of training horses, dogs and consults about dolphins.  Check out her web site sometime.

So I’ve been using this wonderful blessing:

“Riches

of all sorts

flow

easily into my life

from

expected and unexpected

sources”.

Today as I’m leaving our grocery store I see Jane again and she wants another ‘Linda’s Rose’.

Yeah and thank you so very much……..

little white roses in watercolor n ink

March 14, 2010

just wanting to post something to day.  I started these from real little white roses we have growing in our only window this winter.  When I bought them at the supermarket, the plant was packed with little buds all over it and I wasn’t even sure what color they were.  Back on Rachael’s birthday in Feburary they started blooming while there was  a blizzard outside.  I guess they felt the snow because they are all white with just a hint of pale yellow inside.  So i did a drawing and here is the finished painting.  Looks like spring to me.

so this is a close up view.  The original is for sale over @ my etsy shop if you want to check it out.

Don’t forget Mother’s Day is coming.  I can paint any flower you might want for Mom.

Two sales, Two birthdays, One Treasury, One Blog write-up

February 25, 2010

that I’m a part of today.  What an incredible, AWESOME, fantastic day it’s been.

First off it’s my Sweet-Pea’s birthday today.  She, my daughter turned 26 on this birthday.  I am so very proud of her courage and grace.  What a life so far, huh Rachael?

Doing a check of my sites for the day and found out I sold my second painting, Calif Poppy to Linda whose blog Shoreacres  I know through our blogs.  An incredible writer whose words put you right into that moment, and makes you feel as if you lived or are living it at the moment she is describing.  I love how it all flows together so elegantly.  check out her blog  and you’ll be hooked. California Poppy, Watercolour Original

Thank you Linda very, very much for all the wonderful encouragement.

It is also our friend Kenny’s 47th birthday which he, his wife Alison, my honey Leonardo and I celebrated at Eske’s Brew Pub, here in Taos New Mexico tonight.
