Plus I’ve been working on a commission of a very large 22×30 peacock watercolor.  Photos to come after my client approves it and I get it shipped out.  Very fun and super colorful.  It’s based on this little image I had for sale as well.  there seems to be a run on peacocks.

Tres Pony Backs

The sunlight falling through the big cottonwood these three were under, was just magical

as the sunlight falls

magical sunlight falls upon tres ponies

sunlight glows with the warmth of fall

When first I saw her this morning

I was captured in her glance

As I gazed upon her world

I began to see with mine own eyes

All there was to see

in the flat river valley below

El Salto in north-eastern New Mexico

and I am for-ever grateful.  Thank you

And then it hits you….. the smell of fall one morning early before the sun has come up, the nip in the air when you close the windows at nightfall.

Just an Enchanted Evening in north eastern New Mexico.  Driving home and saw these beautiful cows and just had to drive 15 more miles to get my camera and come back for this.  But I think it was worth it and the middle one here showed up in a treasury today over on Etsy.

on an afternoon was we were listening to coast-to-coast

my new Yellow Rose blossom

I love, love, love yellow roses.  When my husband (at the time) and I brought our first son home from the hospital, my yellow rose was blooming and I fell in love with this color.  I really adore the yellow that is tinged with pink on the edges, but it seems a little harder to find.  This is a Knockout from Wal-Mart.  Seems to be doing pretty well with a little rose food and moisture.  So out came my watercolours, just to sketch, not necessarily produce a finished painting.
