January 20, 2012

Yeah this was such a fun request, probably because it was sooooo big.  22×30.  A full sheet of watercolor paper, Arches of course

Teal Peacock Watercolour Painting

What a fun, fun, bright painting this is.  I will soon have giclees for sale,  just let me know what size you would like and I can invoice you and get them out within 2-4 days from order.

What a wonderful piece for your child’s room or heck how about your room? Easter is coming and this would be a wonderful surprise from the Easter Bunny.

I miss it already and it’s only getting it’s picture taken and then it’s off to it’s new home in Texas, where everything is large and this will fit right in.

One Exquisite Peony Blossom

February 18, 2011

One Exquisite Peony Blossom, originally uploaded by newmexicomtngirl.

really love my watercolors, well not everyone I’ve ever painted, but you don’t see those. But I have to say that I am as in love with this single bloom now as the day I painted it many years ago. I still have the original painting, which is a whole bouquet of fuchsia, honeysuckle, pink peonies and yellow tulips. I can’t part with that AT all. So here is a little tease, a little taste of exquisite Love.

Peacocks everywhere

Golondrina of San Cristobal, NM watercolor

April 4, 2010

I took a photo of this a couple of springs ago when we lived in San Cristobal, New Mexico, right down the road from here in north eastern NM.

and I’ve always wanted to put it into watercolor.  I tried playing with it in Photoshop, but it never turned out quite like I pictured it ( so I put it on the back burner).

UNTIL Now, heck I hadn’t picked up my watercolor brushes for quite some time.

Let me know what you think  I love others critiques.

Also I’m really loving this paper for watercolor painting as well. Lets you play more with the paint without it getting  all muddy and it drys super quick so these are superfast originals as well.

Turquoise Easter Treasury on Etsy

March 23, 2010

Yeah, I’m in a treasury again on etsy.com.  That always bring new faces to my art and I love the extra attention.  My “Watercolour Daffodils in the GreenHouse” original painting.   This wonderful collection of Turquoise Easter goodies was put together by Biji Bijoux.

I haven’t been able to figure out the grab feature on this Mac yet so I wasn’t able to capture the whole screen (if anyone knows and wants to clue me in that would be way-cool).  so you’ll have to go check it out yourself. lol
