Finally, I’m posting something. I come over here all fired up and inspired to post what I/we’ve been up too and I get sidetracked by everyone else’s wonderful posts and paintings and updates…….. I love it, but I find I don’t get any of my creativeness out there. I really have to learn how to budget my computer-time better. I have been really good about not surfing so much and turning this dang thing OFF. I have been getting out into the garden and yard earlier in the am now. Now that it is actually getting warmer and sometimes even hot. So the other day after digging a hole for one of our pond liners, I decided to paint….. Yes you heard me right I actually picked up my paint brushes, instead of my camera or Mac, and I did a simple quick sketch, without drawing first……

pansy sketch

painting, finally
I have many others to share, but I really should turn this thing off and get on with my day.
peace n abundance,
CheyAnne ❧

I have been really thinking of starting another blog and using Blogger.com because they have tons of artists and its easy to follow their blogs. But I just can not commit and the reason is their comment process. So many times and I really wish all my fellow bloggers that use blogger, know how many comments you miss because Blogger makes it so hard to process a simple comment without jumping thru a million hoops. All to leave words of encouragement, or kudos, or just a hello, nice to find your site. But not with Blogger.com I was just now making a comment and when I got to the post comment part I used wordpress and accedently hit the return key before everything was typed in and my whole comment vanished before I even realised what had happened.. I know I should have been paying more attention, but come on, this happens more times than not. yuck
Here is the subject that another Blogger was posting about and how fun her post was. A beautiful wooden chair that had been in the family forever, she had inherited it and painted it shiny black with pink and orange stripe cushions. How fun,….. so I thought I would post a scan of a sketch I did of my favorite chair years ago.

My Green Chair
Now I need to go back and find that post. Wish me luck

RedBubble is where you can find this sketch in post cards, prints, canvas’ and even posters.
How about this one? I darkened it in photoshop

My Green Chair w/contrast

I am so excited. Her name is Hope (love that name) and she lives in Canada, so this is my first experience shipping out of the US to another country. First she bought

pen n ink sunflower
and now she bought

tall aspen
Yeehaw. Now I need to get to painting, my originals are getting low. I did some sketches on Yupo today. I’ll let you know when I finish them.
You can find my original paintings @ http://cheyannesexton.etsy.com

Pink Hearted Peacock
I just love to doodle in watercolor. this was inspired by a metal wall thing on etsy. Right now the original is for sale on my etsy store @ http://cheyannesexton.etsy.com . I will add this to my Red Bubble site as well where you could buy a poster to a postcard and everything in between over there. I think I’ll add it to my flickr photostream as well. thanks for looking and I would love to know you were here so feel free to comment
