I love the caterpillar! Truly! We have lots of them, but they tend not to be so fuzzy and beautifully decorated. This guy (girl?) is just terrific.
Well, and those shots of the cottonwoods aren’t bad, either.

That is a stunning rainbow! Can’t believe those cows are so blasé. I guess that comes from living with so much beauty.
The caterpillar looks like a wooly bear with armor!

Thanks Linda. I loved how tall and dark the cottonwood bark was against that stunning gold color. And the little caterpillar was the only living thing I saw that morning, other than my honey of course. Did see some rather large bear track too.

Thanks Sandy, I would love to know which butterfly this will grow up to be. And yeah I’m with you on the cows not seeming to care. they should all be facing the rainbow and staring in amazement….would that be fun to witness

Beautiful photos! I love the cottonwoods by the river; classic! And the rainbow – wow!

I thank you so much for these wonderful compliments. The rainbow was the most vivid I think I have ever seen. and these were some of my drive by photos. The cottonwoods I had to turn the car around for and well worth it.
