to say done. Now after all the misket is off and the lines show up too harsh, this is the fun part, well one of them anyway….

I didn’t have a clue what “misket” was, so I went looking. By the time I got through reading a bit about it, I had a whole lot more admiration for people who can work in watercolor. I didn’t understand most of it, but my primary job is admiration, so that’s ok!
Given your subject matter, you might enjoy this video of one of Ian Tyson’s songs I found last night: Jaquima to Freno.

I love this video, thank you Linda. I didn’t even think about people not knowing what misket is. It’s just a rubber cement that leaves the paper underneath white and when you rub it off (which is sooo fun) you can then go bakc in and soften edges or leave it white. I love the stuff and use it more and more. At least in my very detailed paintings. If you look at the little female cardinal and check out her tail and breast you might see white paper and that is saved with misket so that I can create beautiful washes of color without worrying.
thanks for the visit as always…and I love your admiration
