Wowza, have I been having fun???????
It all started years ago, not so sure how many years now. I started following “Chronicles of a Country Girl” blog. I’m pretty sure I was drawn by this very photograph she took of a female cardinal….
I have loved this image for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Missouri and AdORe Cardinals, especially the females.
So we traded a photograph of hers for the lOVE Tree painting of mine. Super excited and happy for this. So I asked Kate ?? May I pretty please paint her image and she said
“YES!!!”
all the wonderful misket (which is the yellow shiny stuff) painted on the sketch to keep the whites pure…
another view.
And then I took the magical mistik off and did this:
Just the start of A Beautiful Winter Female Cardinal in the Snow
soon to be for sale on my etsy shop. If you would like to pre-purchase @ $200. please contact me and I can invoice you. (SOLD) I will pay shipping and insurance here in the 48 states. It isn’t finished yet, but just a few more details and this original CheyAnneSexton WaterColour can be yours.
Plus I’ve been working on another ‘Old Blue Chevy in the Field’ watercolor.
Very fun and it’s based on another old blue Chevy. there seems to be a run on Old Blue Chevrolet Pick-up Trucks
Wait till you see the misket off the paper. So sweet

Beautiful female cardinal painting – so lucky she said yes to using her photo (I’ve found photographers are so generous with their work – they just ask to see the final painting and get credit for the photo). Old trucks are always fun to see, too – with a bit of rust making them more interesting
