wild larkspur doodle
This was just a doodle of some wildflowers up one of my very favorite places on Earth, LaPlata Canyon north of Durango, Colorado on one of my mini-roadtrip outings, alone/sans children, plein air try out….
didn’t work too well cause I was too self consious and too many people wanted to know what I was doing and to watch me (that made me uncomfortable)

Hi, I love the colours in this one. Nice. leave them the way they are…Good old memories.
I know, When there is too much activity around, its hard to concentrate (for me)!on painting or sketching. The link I sent you is to my drawings blog. The drawings are in different posts. use these links to have a look!

i am always more drawn to simpler water color paintings. this one is really beautiful. i kind of miss doing watercolors. i took a class several years ago. i was thinking of doing another. my husband and i just went to see his parents for their 40th wedding anniversary. i thought i would take one of my photos from the trip and do a water color of it for them as an anniversary gift. i’m a little rusty, though. i hope i can do it.
