I look at these watercolor paintings now

and see so many ways to enhance and rework them, but I won’t because they are beautiful just the way they are in all their simplicity.  I just need to create new work……

This was just a doodle of some wildflowers up one of my very favorite places on Earth,  LaPlata Canyon north of Durango, Colorado on one of my mini-roadtrip outings,  alone/sans children, plein air try out….

didn’t work too well cause I was too self consious and too many people wanted to know what I was doing and to watch me (that made me uncomfortable)

Some of them are borrowed ideas..but with small tweaks from myside too. Others are real life studies..say portraits of friends…
I havent drawn for a couple of years now… I have something in mind..When i get time I’ll start my work on it..

i am always more drawn to simpler water color paintings. this one is really beautiful. i kind of miss doing watercolors. i took a class several years ago. i was thinking of doing another. my husband and i just went to see his parents for their 40th wedding anniversary. i thought i would take one of my photos from the trip and do a water color of it for them as an anniversary gift. i’m a little rusty, though. i hope i can do it.
