we made it as far as Manzanilla, Mexico which is just north of Manzanillo. Over 4000 miles put on our sea-pmy (our new car). It is incredibly beautiful in Mexico. and the people are just the best. I think all americans should learn to drive in Mexico. It was a blast and we saw only one accident in 3 weeks. People drove fast, but with utmost courtesy on the road. I have over 800 photos that I have downloaded and started to sort thru. What a job ahead, but its loads of fun to see them on my computer
here’s a few:

piñatas are everywhere
I’m using this one as my screen saver for now

the early am ocean @ Mazatlan
is was so awesome spending Christmas eve and Christmas camping right on the beach in Mazatlán. We would have the whole beach to ourselves most nights, and the the early a.m.ers wouldn’t start strolling until about the time we had our second cup of cafe.

saying his prayers before taking his chances
this one young man was one of about 5-8 that would come early to catch the small waves at this north end of the beach in Mazatlán. Playa Bruja

niñas on the Mazatlan playa
the children were incredible everywhere we went and on the beach they had their fun without interference.

waiting for the tide
this chair was in a few of my photos and later sorting them out I realized that it sat at the high-tide mark one morning

look what I caught mom
the creatures were also incredible and everywhere you looked

sea irchin ?
this was still in an outgoing tide-pool, its colors were awesome

sea crab
these were everywhere and the birds and people knew it

white ibis fishing
this bird was captivating. I looked it up and I think its a snowy egret

she caught one
she would stand here by this little spit of sand and wait for the incoming wave to bring itty-bitty fish up on the beach and as they were flopping to get back in the ocean, she and others would snatch them up

she stopped watching me
once she knew I meant her no harm she went about her business

he even has one is is beak
when the egret walked away the seagulls got theirs

wings over Mazatlan
see what I mean by captivating?
